Which MikroTik models are supported?
Any MikroTik router running RouterOS v6.49+ or v7. The WireGuard provisioning command works on all models with sufficient flash storage.
Do my routers need a public IP?
No. WireGuard tunnels work behind CGNAT, double NAT, and LTE connections. The router initiates the connection outward — no port forwarding needed.
How much bandwidth does the WireGuard tunnel use?
Monitoring and management traffic is minimal — typically under 1 Mbps. Customer traffic does not pass through the tunnel unless you route it that way.
Will this overwrite my existing router configuration?
No. The provisioning script adds WireGuard and monitoring configuration. It does not modify your existing firewall, NAT, or routing rules.
